Wan Rosdy said that this visit to Qinzhou was specially scheduled during the China-ASEAN Expo. He went to China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park and was thrilled by Qinzhou's vitality, opening-up and development. Malaysia would pay close attention to and actively participate in building the new western land-sea corridor, deepen mutual-benefiting cooperation with Qinzhou on improving connectivity and building the "Two Countries, Twin Parks", accelerate the opening of routes between Kuantan and Guangxi, promote the establishment of twin-city relations between Qinzhou and Kuantan, and make more prominent the demonstration role of China-Malaysia cooperation on "Two Countries, Twin Parks".
Lately, Lv Haiting, Deputy President of the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) visited China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park. Gao Pu, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Qinzhou Municipal Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park Administrative Committee, met with Lv. They exchanged views on issues such as procedures for Malaysian cubilose enterprises' developing business in China and strengthening international production capacity cooperation.
Lv said that China-Malaysia "Two Countries, Twin Parks" is a symbolic project of the two countries' economic and trade cooperation. The ACCCIM pays great attention to the development of China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park. The park has obvious advantages in terms of policy, fund and land. It is hoped that China and Malaysia could enhance cooperation in the fields of cubilose, jackfruit and palm oil. The ACCCIM will give full play to the role of itself as a bridge to encourage more Malaysian high-quality enterprises to develop in China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, expand the fields of cooperation based on the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" project, and push forward the bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the two sides to a new level.
Recently, Lu Dongliang, President of China-ASEAN Information Harbor Co., Ltd., went to China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park to discuss matters related to the construction of China-ASEAN Information Harbor. Gao Pu, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Qinzhou Municipal Committee and Executive Deputy Director of China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park Administrative Committee, introduced the development and construction of the park and presided over a symposium. The two sides have reached a consensus on jointly building the International Data Service Area, Data Industry Service Base, Talent Training Base, as well as Smart IoT Industrial Park in the China-ASEAN Information Harbor. Next, the two sides will further refine the matters concerning the cooperation and facilitate the implementation of projects as soon as possible.
During the visit, Lu Dongliang and his party went to the Exhibition Center and the Comprehensive Service Hall in the Qinzhou Port Area of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone to learn about the construction and development of the Qinzhou Port Area, and inspected China-Malaysia International Science and Technology Park, Guangxi Keyi New Energy Co., Ltd., Kelly Digital Co., Ltd. and other industrial development platforms and enterprises in the park.
Recently, Malaysia’s Foreign Minister Saifuddin led a delegation to visit China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park to learn about the development and construction of the park and the international capacity cooperation. The two sides held an exchange meeting on the construction of "Two Countries, Twin Parks" to discuss how to further promote the cooperation on the "Two Countries, Twin Parks”.
During the visit, the rapid development of the park has left a deep impression on Saifuddin. He said that China attached great importance to the capacity cooperation of the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" and fully promoted the construction of China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park. After returning to Malaysia, he would submit proposals concerning the building of sister cities between Qinzhou in China and Kuantan in Malaysia, and the settlement of traditional advantageous industries of Malaysia in the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park to relevant departments, so as to promote the interactive development of Qinzhou and Kuantan as well as the development and construction of the “Two Countries, Twin Parks”. The two sides, especially the "Two Cities" and "Twin Parks", are highly complementary in the fields of science & technology, education, culture, etc., so they can jointly explore opportunities for cooperation and promote the achievement of more cooperation results. He hoped that both sides would continue to improve the cooperation framework of "Two Countries, Twin Parks", give full play to the role of the Joint Cooperation Council (JCC) Meeting on Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park and China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, and explore the establishment of a normalized communication mechanism, so as to carry out more frequent daily exchanges between the two sides and achieve win-win development.
